Mixed media and acrylic paint on plywood panels.

The process of making these paintings were the most important. The intention was to be very physical/ emotional with a minimum of intellectual effort. The body could be one with the paint. Thus allowing the energy just to well up and act outside onto the wood. It turned out to be about loosing control and regaining it or "cleaning up the mess". Destruction and rebuilding and breaking it down again and so on. The process was about finding the delicate balance between friction and silence. Too tight and controlled is deadly to the dance of the eye and the senses. Out of control has no reference. These paintings were done over old collages/paintings on plywood. The artist would tear of strips and discover "old remains" from a long time past and allow these moments in time to be in the new movement of paint.

In a way these paintings are related to architecture.
