The process of making these paintings were the most important. The intention was to be very physical/ emotional with a minimum of intellectual effort. The body could be one with the paint. Thus allowing the energy just to well up and act outside onto the wood. It turned out to be about loosing control and regaining it or “cleaning up the mess”. Destruction and rebuilding and breaking it down again and so on.
