About Nicolala

Nicole van Ruiten was born 29 August 1968 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She currently lives and works in Europe.

Nicole feels art allows the viewer to experience how life is much larger then what is apparent to the eye (perception) and what we think we know (conception). She sees art as a reflection of a person's psychological, emotional and spiritual evolution. For Nicole, the artist is a communicator of that which lives in all people. This continuous development, or unfolding, is the essence of true creativity.

While previously creating from a sense of pain and suffering, where art functioned more or less therapeutically, she now feels compelled to create an art that is uplifting and which supports the spiritual evolution of mankind. A process of creation that gives a glimpse of the eternal joy and bliss which is continuously present for every soul.
