Mixed media and acrylic paint on plywood panels. 2007

In this series, Nicolala depicted the forms of energy between lovers when they meet. She tried to reconcile traditional painting materials with artificial flowers, buttons, jewelry, beads and glitter. In a sense, going "over the top" with these objects meant going beyond what such materials normally stand for (individuality), thus being transformed into something else (union), which is also the case when lovers unite so-called non-unifiable energies through the grace of love.

It was the first time that she worked with a plan. Unintentionally, it so happened that each painting depicts one of the five senses, the sense of sight left to the viewer.
